Domestic And Sexual Abuse Services has been a trusted and respected resource in Cass and St. Joseph County for more almost 40 years, offering hope and healing to women and children devastated by domestic abuse. While current funding sustains our existing operations, the costs of maintaining the shelter in a building that is over 175 years old increase each year. The building is in need of significant updates and repairs to continue to provide protection and services. Hillmann House’s current shelter provides a haven for many victims of domestic abuse and their children each year, we can and must do better.

Through the continue generosity of Three Rivers First Presbyterian Church, DASAS is now the sole owner of our Hillmann House Shelter. Our shelter has been a haven for thousands of families seeking safety, renovating the Hillmann House will increase our capacity and accessibility and provide much-needed enhancements in design, security, and amenities.
