Safe Spaces, Happy Faces: Help Survivors and Children Feel Safe Again
Every survivor deserves to know that when they are ready to ask for help, someone will be there to answer. Every child deserves a safe place to rest, play, and smile.
Domestic and Sexual Abuse Services (DASAS) provides free, confidential, and trauma-informed support to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. Our services include a 24-hour crisis line, emergency shelter at Hillmann House, counseling, safety planning, transportation assistance, and advocacy.
In 2025, DASAS served approximately 600 individuals, responded to 444 crisis calls, and provided shelter services to 88 children. Each number represents a neighbor or family seeking safety, dignity, and hope.
This year, DASAS is facing a significant reduction in state and federal grant funding while the cost of providing essential services continues to rise. Through our Safe Spaces, Happy Faces Summer Campaign, we are asking our community to help lessen the impact of these funding reductions.
Your donation can help provide:
- A safe night of emergency shelter
- Food, clothing, and personal-care necessities
- Transportation and safety-related assistance
- Crisis intervention and individualized safety planning
- Counseling and survivor-centered advocacy
- Safe, welcoming spaces and activities for children
Every gift makes a difference. Together, we can help ensure that funding reductions do not become reductions in safety, hope, or compassionate support.
Please give today and help DASAS continue creating safe spaces where survivors and their children can begin again.
